Karl Lagerfeld chose an armor theme, and in his usual manner, presented a beautiful collection full of new ideas for his couture clients. Thigh high boots under column-like evening gowns as well as skin tight pants and day dresses looked modern and romantic. In fact romance was the theme, with eighteenth century flowing cuffs peaking out of jackets. The subdued color palette of blacks, browns, whites and grays was punctuated by the intricate embroidery from the house of Lessage, now owned by Chanel.
