THIS MONTH:
PARIS Spring 2004

Although Miss Mori used a jeweled color palette for the evening (dark purples, deep sapphires, reds and raspberries) which she mixed with Asian motifs such as butterflies and dragons, her neutral day wear was a highlight in her collection. The little brown sleeveless cashmere cable knit dress won the enthusiastic applause of Madame Marie-Laure de Villepin, wife of the French foreign minister, and indeed, the sleeveless champagne muted plaid dress with the cream fringe at the waist and beneath the bust looked easy, fresh and completely packable. The accompanying belts and earrings by Fashionlines Favorite on aura tout vu no doubt added the glamour that helped to win over the famous wives who are doubtless looking for elegant but easy pieces to fit into their lives (and suitcases).
