Tulle We Meet Again
By Christine Suppes

Paris, July 6--To celebrate the 100 th birthday year of Christian Dior, John Galliano re-created the career of the designer who gave us the “New Look” in 1947. Suzy Menkes of the International Herald Tribune reported that Bernard Arnault, the boss of LVMH cried at the finale of the show. This might have been the biggest dream of all. Galliano’s Dior contract is up soon, and with so many reptile handbags on the arms of the couture clients, let’s hope Arnault’s emotion wasn’t just crocodile tears.
