Camilla Staerk knows how to tease, tantalize and arrest. Even when she is showing perfectly ladylike pieces -- like a heavy wool duster coat or a matronly long sleeve button-down dress -- her knack for playfulness comes through in the shape of colorful fishnet stockings peeping from under the guise of respectability.
In a parody of the duality of existence, Camilla Staerk constructs a fictional heroine, who is an Upper East Side charity mom by day and a cabaret dancer by night. Clothed in suede sheath dresses, tailored high waist trousers, see-through tops, tight leather corsets and lace garter belts, the Staerk woman oscillates between two antithetical personas. Ultimately, she is a chameleon, capable of carrying a wool skirt-suit or a sheer bodysuit with the same ease. She is every bit of naughty goodness.
