PARIS, January 31, 2006 - The House of Thierry Mugler lives on, at least in company headquarters on Avenue de l'Opéra. Champagne was flowing at the crack of noon on Tuesday, when hoards of fashion people tipped glass after glass to their parched lips.

The collection itself was notable for its sharp, sophisticated look. The thin, tapered silhouette was reinforced by narrow lapels touched with strips of leather. A series of cascading plumed jackets dripped feathers over the fingers. Add in a crocodile effect suit, or a jacket constructed of geometric designs in faux monkey and sequins, and you come out with sleek evening wear.
