Preen's duo design team, Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi, sent out a seductive Valentine's Day collection blushing with shades of rose and violet. The secret was in the curvaceous cut where hemlines floated higher than the fumes at Stonehenge. As day turned to evening, ribbed shiny overlay, folds of pleated satin, whiffs of smokey black tulle created a sleek, modern effect that combined futurism with wearability. The proportions for that sartorial oxymoron can be elusive, but Preen's designers got it right.
