Elie Saab March 4, 2007 - Elie Saab's interpretation of a little black dress is not understated—his pieces were not garments that looked as if they were intended to be worn into the confessional booth. If anything, the miniscule hemlines shown on the runway might even be difficult to wear at the bar of the Ritz, without giving the wrong impression of one's profession. Saab has made his reputation out of confecting glitter, and so it's no surprise that his fall collection made even basic black sparkle. He's got a growing fan club in Hollywood, a fact not to be missed since many of his evening pieces looked as if that was their final destination. |
