Gray winter skies and smoky gloom must have been inspiration for Nicole Farhi's colorless collection shown on Thursday. While there wasn't much brilliance to be found on the catwalk, the individual pieces all worked. Of special interest was the fabric used in two evening ensembles, which looked to be lurex strewn with sequins. The glittering effect resembled jet beads interspersed with diamonds.
