The Jonathan Saunders show was one of the highlights of a busy Wednesday at London Fashion week. Working in a linear, graphic silhouette, Saunders showed an artistic collection inspired by the work of Daniel Buren. The final diaphanous silk evening dress, colored in streams of harvest moon and pumpkin, summed up Saunders' ability to create expressions of contemporary elegance from a minimalist palette. Elsewhere a manly psychedelic tie fell from a cluster of layered geometrical patterns, and panels of velvet cascaded down one dress. Beautiful.
