Each month Fashionlines will feature one of our editors or artists in News and Events so that readers can get to know who we are. We all share one thing in common-an obsession with style and beauty. We begin with Timothy Hagy, our Paris editor. We were lucky enough to meet Timothy at many of the Couture and Prêt-a-porter shows over the past many seasons, and even luckier when Timothy agreed to become our "Bureau Chief" in the City of Light. A man of infinite charm and grace, we know French fashion is all the better off for his insight and keen knowledge.
TIMOTHY HAGY
B I O G R A P H Y
Timothy Hagy, a native of Virginia, followed a circuitous path to Paris after first pursuing a career in classical music. An honor graduate of the Eastman School of Music of the University of
Rochester, New York, and a Fulbright scholar at the Vienna Hochschule für Musik, he held positions in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania and Providence, Rhode Island before relocating in Paris.
The French Ministry of Education recruited Timothy in 1999 to teach English as a second language to students at the University level, and he continues to profit from his new location to refine his passion for art, music, cuisine and fashion. Among his interests is documenting the evolution of both menswear and couture as it relates to modern society.
Timothy became Paris Editor for Fashionlines in 2003, after serving for two years as Paris Correspondent for a US-based Internet magazine.
