Alexandre Caugant and Philippe Naouri of Antik Denim said before the show, As far as inspiration, think a mix of urban cowboy and Japanese spirited clothing. However, to Fashionlines the dynamic duos spring collection conjured up images of Pocahontas gone wild.
Matching abbreviated long fringed suede vests with distressed denim pants - decorated with crystals and turquoise - Antik Denim did skip a beat when it came to going the extra mile. Rich embroideries, lace flounces, colorful beads, patchwork ornamentations, patterned fabrics, vibrant trims and everything else opulent were employed to beautify Antiks new collection. It appears that the opulent yet slapdash look that has earned the once-underground label a devout following among cool trendsetters is here to stay.
