Gardem’s Fall 2005 look is artificial intelligence meets architectural deconstructions. Futuristic in its conceptual approach, this collection uses 18th century influences to create romantic sci-fi fashions. Complemented by wildly tangled hair and white powdered eyes Gardem’s clothes offer avid students of fashion a glimpse into the forward trajectory of moda. Cast predominantly in monochromatic earthy tones these clothes prove how striking deliberate chaos and calculated asymmetry can be. Slightly reminiscent of NY quartet As Four’s work, Gardem’s three dimensional creations conceive a distinct feeling of voluminous innovation. Completely free of redundant ornamentation these pieces find their true essence in fabric and form. Gardem truly defines garments as natural extensions of the body.
