By Christine Suppes

Norway is such an oil- wealthy country now that we thought it in our best interests to check out Lillian Aulie Schjoll’s show, held at the warm and elegant Norwegian Embassy. The models, done up in white Marie-Antoinette wigs and Spiderwoman eye makeup strode theatrically sexy, if not exactly stoically Norwegian, onto the runway in close to the body charmeuse gowns, embroidered with oriental flowers and delicate beading. The colors were lovely and the cut modern enough for a woman to jump in and out of a car. For us, this counts for a lot in the design of a couture gown.
