From May 25 to August 21, 2005, the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University presents an exhibition of brilliantly colored feathers and costumes that celebrates ceremonies and rites of passage unique to these people. "Vanishing Worlds: Art and Ritual in Amazonia" showcases rare works that are the surviving expressions of these cultures that call upon a range of physical and magical forces. The exhibition includes an array of more than 150 pieces: ritual objects, including full body costumes, masks, feather headdresses, and body ornaments, as well as domestic and utilitarian pieces such as basketry, weapons, pottery, and textiles.

Dior Homme continues its global expansion with the opening of a new boutique in Shanghai. Like previous stores in New York, Tokyo, Milan and Paris, the architecture, designed by Hedi Slimane, perpetuates the
spirit of the Dior Homme atelier located at 40 rue François Ier in Paris. Occupying a surface of 150 meters located at Plaza 66, 1266 Nanjing Road West, Shanghai, the space is defined by reflection and break in movement. Crush-effect polished mirror steel walls produce the space's perspective and induce flow. Fitting Rooms, designed by artists Sean Dack and Liam Gillick, create an experience of visual intimacy. Seating takes the form of sonic chairs designed by Hedi Slimane.

Yu-Be (pronounced "YOO-BEE"), the #1 selling medicated, vitamin-enriched skin care cream in Japan is a Glycerin-based moisturizer enriched with Vitamin E, Vitamin B2 and Camphor. Its unique high Glycerin content and absorbability, achieved through a special manufacturing process in Japan, makes Yu-Be effective on severe dry skin and sets it apart from other creams. World-class mountain climber and explorer Sumiyo Tsuzuki uses Yu-Be to protect her skin on expeditions all over the world. Ms. Tsuzuki was the first Japanese woman to reach the summit of Mt.
