PARIS, October 6, 2005 - Finnish artist Klaus Haapeniemi was commissioned by
Cacharel to design the airy set for Thursday's show at the Louvre. The artist
also had a hand in the series of exotic critters that found their way into
prints, accessories and jewelry. The commercially viable and eclectic
collection, designed by British duo-team Clements Ribeiro, went to tropical
Polynesia for inspiration and came out of the trade winds full of bold
prints, sprays of polka dots and even glittering embroidery. Throw in bikinis
that could be candidates for the cover of Sports Illustrated and you have the
breezy collection in a coconut shell.
