| In 2004, two young Swedish furniture designers, Frederik Mattson (born
in Malmo in 1973) and Stefan Borselius (born in Malmo in 1974) created
a chair whose structure is atypical of old Swedish furniture, where sobriety
and purity dictated the lines. The designers were interested in a chair
where one could relax and take a nap for a few minutes or even hours. Hence,
the Snooze Chair, presented at the Museum for Decorative
Arts in Stockholm. It became an instant Scandinavian design classic. The
price is $2400 for the chair in black leather and $1665 in red, brown or
black silk. L’Eclaireur 3ter rue de Rosiers
