France's best beloved jeweler, Boucheron, debuted their new line of jewelry during Haute Couture week. Called Legendes, these pieces pay tribute to a woman's sensuality as well as her goals and dreams. The dreamy-like boudoir ambience of the showroom made us feel that we were in an elegant woman's chambers, where bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings hung on miniature hangers in an antique trunk. In this darkened secret place amidst orchids, candles and amethyst colored spot lights, we lingered and dreamed. This is a modern collection, but harkens back to another time. Our favorite piece was the amethyst tassel on the long chain, which when twisted and spun, reveals an elegant long haired naked woman. So very lovely, so very not vulgar, and so very French, we thought.
