A curvaceous belly dancer dressed in electric colors, twirling to the beat of a mystical tune introduced Sue Wong's extravagant collection, Ode ˆ l'Odalisque, inspired by the Spice Road. "This is an intoxicating mix of exotic embroidery patterns and beaded motifs infused with Turkish and

Moroccan sensibilities," the master designer exclaimed in reference to her new creations.
This season spellbinding story teller Scheherazade, seductive dancer Salome, smoldering temptress Cleopatra and literary goddess Zelda Fitzgerald were among Wong's muses. Reminiscent of a theatrical production staring Moorish gypsies, harem girls, flamenco dancers and jazz age hipsters clad in breathtaking costumes, Sue's Fall line played up the drama element of fashion.
Ms. Wong's lushly articulated clothes combining; opulent fabrics, inventive designs and an inimitable Couture sensibility never fail to wow a colorful audience of die-hard fans. However, this time the artist had more than plunging necklines, layered ruffles and intricate embellishments in store for her guests. America's Next Top Model, Yoanne House, dressed in an emerald bias gown with sequined bodice and looped medallions, walking the runway was a welcome surprise indeed.
