British actor Orlando Bloom was born in Canterbury, England on January 13, 1977. After deciding on an acting career at a young age, he landed his first major role in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy in 1999. That was soon followed by work with Ridley Scott on "Black Hawk Down", and then a costarring role with Brad Pitt in "Troy", released earlier this year.

With brown hair and eyes, the strikingly dark and handsome Orlando goes by the nicknames of OB and Orli. He has two tatoos, a nine on his right forearm, and a sun on his torso, both of which he got at age 15. His favorite color is yellow, his second language is French, his favorite vegetable is spinach, and he likes girls that are "nice and sweet".
