GN’s Girls
PARIS , March 2, 2005 - Andrew GN staged
his show early on Wednesday morning, building his eclectic collection
around a metallic appliqué theme.
After an opening in assorted shades of chocolate, he flew on to
black and gray combinations full of butterfly motifs. The very
sight of those insects gave a trio of corpulent Russian buyers
the vapors, and you got the impression, from their animated gesticulations
and boisterous discourse (even without understanding the finer
details of the language), that Moscow was soon to be abuzz with
fluttering wings.
GN's eveningwear was inspired by floral prints which including
hanging poppies and blooming lilacs. In between, boleros flaunted
gold trim, and glitter was poured on to pencil skirts.
