Cynthia Freund describes her new collection as, “American Spirit… think cross country roadtrip. Feminine denim that is playfully rebellious.” Indeed, the designer’s work is a little bit of country and a little bit of rock & roll. Rose Schott’s jean pants, skirts, jackets, vests baptized with interesting (as well as self explanatory) names like, Dirtflirt, Rock Princess, Gasoline Girl and White Trash bank on cool irreverence to make a mark. Positively risqué and somewhat disheveled; these ensembles celebrate cowgirls with a penchant for Elvis vacationing in the Redneck Riviera.
