School of Fashion

On March 18th Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandizing unveiled a troupe of its top talents in an impressive runway show. The collections showcased by these gifted designers had a little something for everyone. From ladylike linen jackets by Urban Geisha to quirky ‘Moscow’ wool coats by Jennifer Blue; FIDM grads proved exceptional fashion prowess in distinct styles.

Luna Sardone’s jersey pieces that jumpstarted the event focused on elegant comfort, while Bad Pixie exalted nonconformist rebellion in the form of paint spattered bikinis. Kam Holllis’ inspiring creations exuded a bohemian sensibility as Jennifer Blue took the audience on a whirlwind tour around the globe. Finally, Dena Burton’s faux fur accented constructions struck an exotic cord, whereas Emily Francisco preferred to stick to the familiar topography of modest elegance exemplified by her charming Pina cloth embroidered puff dresses.
