Better begin making your plans
now for the beach next January---we all know the great places fill
up early--and find the best swimsuits, cover-ups, beach jewelry and sandals
online now. Fashionlines
has found some exciting sites that offer quality design this resort
season. Elizabeth Bartlett is a Seattle-based
company that works with Italian designers who are also working with
Neiman Marcus, Gucci and Bally. The shoes incorporate top
quality materials with comfort technologies, invisible to
the eye, that make the heel height feel lower by shifting the weight
off the ball of the foot to make a three-inch heel feel like a two-inch
heel. And as you can see from the images, this company
does not stint on the design or sex appeal.
Vintage Earth jeweler
Sarah Beth Martin blends vintage and urban to get a great Bohemian
look that is so favored for Resort 06. Her jewelry combines
gemstones, glass beads and freshwater pearls with quality metals. Her
pieces work well with swim suits and cover-ups.
MisssB handbags are handmade in Australia. The
beading and embroidery is also done by hand. These adorable bags incorporate
silk, satin, brocades, lace, leather, feathers, sequins and beads. Very
couture, with Australian beach know how.
Abaeté is a high
end swimwear and resort line designed by Laura Poretzky, who was
born in France to a Russian father and a Danish-Brazilian mother. A
graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Laura worked
at Ralph Lauren where she refined her skills. Her first line
of swimwear, inspired by Brazil's beaches and lifestyle, won widespread
recognition. Laura draws upon her experience as a New
Yorker as well as her Latina and Eurasian roots to create sexy and feminine
resort wear that also incorporates perfect fit.
