Pontine Paus, a young artist based in London, has been busy designing handbags when not painting on canvas. Pontine is originally from Norway, she studied industrial design in Milan and received a business degree in London. She spends her time between London and Milan running her various businesses. Included in her new collection are hand stitched leather city bags, beach bags, and evening clutches that come in a variety of bright color combinations. Who could live without the “Boob” bag, a fast and easy way to get a “lift”? The nautical knot, a recurring theme in many of Pontine’s designs, is no doubt drawn from her family’s history in the shipping business. Pontine is not satisfied creating in one medium only; she has recently developed a new lip moisturizer, Dr. Lipp, available at SpaceNK stores in the UK. She utilizes a medical grade formula. There is no end to Pontine’s energy and creativity. For sure no girl should head for the sun without a tiger beach bag and Dr. Lipp “in the bag” to protect her from the elements!
