PARIS, July 4, 2005 - Korean designer Wooyoungmi sent out at charming
collection for Summer 2006 that was notable for cool, clean lines and a
collegiate look that could easily find itself at home on the campus. Working
with her signature slate gray, the color spectrum also included pale lemon,
plum and melon.
Sleeveless jackets were topped with rounded collars, and shirts came
streaming full of pleats. Spencer-liked coats, knitwear and beautiful
trenches rounded things out.
Her cast of pristine models, some of whom bordered on androgynous, looked
like guys any mom would love. There is a gentle spirit to Wooyoungmi’s work -
a concept Paris fashion could use more of.
